Bedfordale – Wungong Dam The Wungong Dam was created by damming the Wungong River. This is a view of the dam wall at the end of Springfield Road in Bedfordale. A section of the spillway is in the foreground. You can’t drive a vehicle across the dam wall anymore even though it does have a road on there. March 2012. |

Bedfordale – Wungong Dam Another view of the Wungong Dam this time featuring more on the now-dry spillway. March 2012. |

Bedfordale – Recreation Lake North of the Wungong Dam off Admiral Road is a very pleasant lake simply entitled Recreation Lake. Park up here and walk down to the water. Note the ‘No Swimming’ sign. March 2012. |

Bedfordale – Recreation Lake Here is a view of a section of Recreation Lake. Note the swimmers. The Water Corp doesn’t like people swimming here because the water is not chlorinated. A few decades ago nothing was chlorinated but we all seemed to have survived after swimming in all sorts of murky creeks and water holes. March 2012. |

Bedfordale – Recreation Lake A little higher up the walkway back to the parking area takes in more of the lake. March 2012. |
||
Bedfordale – Recreation Lake Picnic Area It might not look much in this photo but up in the picnic area at the top of the lake it’s quite relaxing and peaceful. There are many tables around, as you can see, and there is also a toilet block. A few hundred metres up Admiral Road, closer to the dam, are free BBQ facilities. March 2012. |

Bedfordale – Hall Set slightly off Admiral Road down near Blake Street is the Bedfordale Hall. Adjacent are tennis courts. March 2012. |
